There are many ways to be part of the life and ministry of FCCJeff.
Some people enjoy teaching or working with children. Others would rather prepare a meal, make music, plan an event, care for our building, serve our neighbors, or help behind the scenes.
You don’t have to do everything or jump in right away. When you’re ready, we hope you’ll find a place to share your gifts, interests, and time alongside others.
Christian Education
Our Christian Education Team coordinates opportunities for children and adults to learn, ask questions, and grow in faith. Volunteers serve as teachers and helpers in our children’s Sunday morning classes and assist with special studies and educational opportunities throughout the year.
World & Community Outreach
Our World & Community Outreach Team helps connect FCCJeff with needs in our local community and beyond. Volunteers may pack food for our Backpack Ministry, serve meals through Loaves & Fishes, help with Clothe-a-Child and Christmas giving, or participate in other outreach projects throughout the year.
Celebration Team
The Celebration Team creates opportunities to have fun and build relationships together. Volunteers help plan events such as Breakfast with Santa, Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunts, trivia night fundraisers, and other special gatherings throughout the year.
Hospitality Team
The Hospitality Team helps create welcoming spaces whenever people gather. Volunteers coordinate Sunday morning coffee, monthly donut fellowship, funeral meals, Advent and Lent fellowship meals, and other opportunities to share food and conversation together.
Worship & Music
There are many ways to help make worship happen each week. Volunteers share their musical gifts through our choir, worship band, and special music, while others participate in worship through scripture reading and other leadership roles. Whether your gifts are musical, creative, or simply a willingness to help, there are opportunities to be part of our worship life.
Property Team
Our Property Team cares for the building and grounds that make so much of our ministry possible. Volunteers help with maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and improvement projects. Recent projects have included renovations to our nursery and Children’s Education Hall as well as exterior improvements to window casings, gutters, and the covered walkway.
Find Your Place
Some people find a ministry they love and serve there for years. Others lend a hand for a single event or project. Both matter. You don’t need a particular skill or experience, and you don’t have to know where you fit before you begin.
Whether you have a few hours to offer occasionally or are ready to become part of a ministry team, we’ll help you find a way to participate that fits your interests, gifts, and availability.
